With the multi-talented Harvey Fierstein as Host, The 54th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009, at 9:00 PM in the FH LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center, 100 Amsterdam Avenue at 65th Street.
YOUR NEWS AND PHOTO COVERAGE OF THE AWARDS CEREMONY,
AS WELL AS THE PRE AND POST CEREMONY VIP RECEPTIONS, IS CORDIALLY INVITED!
Please Note: All working Press must be accredited. If you are planning to cover the awards ceremony, the arrivals and/or the VIP receptions, please contact LS Public Relations ASAP via email: Lester.Schecter@verizon.net). Accredited Media will have their names on the Guest List at each reception, and can pick up their Drama Desk Awards Press Credentials at the Press Table located in the lobby of the concert hall after 7 PM on Sunday, May 17. Please note: Gray Line will provide shuttle buses between the Pre and Post VIP Receptions at Rouge Tomate and F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall.
5:00 – 7:30 PM - Pre-ceremony VIP Reception for Nominees and Presenters at Rouge Tomate, 10 East 60th Street, hosted by Robert R. Blume, Drama Desk Awards Executive Producer, and owners of the restaurant.
5:00 – 6:15 PM -- Red Carpet Arrivals at Rouge Tomate
8:00 to 8:45 PM – Red Carpet Arrivals of Presenters and Nominees at Awards Ceremony. They enter through LaGuardia Concert Hall door on West 65th Street between Amsterdam and West End Avenues.
9:00 – 11:00 pm – Drama Desk Awards Ceremony. Working press is invited to follow the proceedings from the Backstage Press Room (A27) backstage at the Concert Hall where the awards ceremony can be seen on a TV monitor. Winners & Presenters will be escorted to the Press Room after each award presentation to meet the media and pose for photos.
